The La Pavoni Professional lever espresso coffee machine was introduced in 1974 as the big brother to the Europiccola which was introduced in the late 1950’s

This classic, simple yet durable, timelessly elegant espresso lever machine has also evolved since it’s introduction, however is still performing today in a similar way to the very first model.

The La Pavoni Professional - PL produces 16 creamy espressos or alternatively steam directly from the boiler produces 12 to 14 foamy cappuccinos. It has a pressure gauge which indicates when the machine has reached full pressure.

All lever models are equipped with 51mm 1 cup filter which can be used both with ground coffee and standard pods as well a 2 cup filter dish. The filter holder is equipped with a ring useful to avoid the filter’s falling during the dumping of spent coffee grounds. Included are an interchangeable steam wand with a Cappuccino Automatic Frother, a plastic tamper and measuring spoon.

Some of the great advantages of the La Pavoni lever machines are the pre-infusion, by lifting the lever the piston is raised inside the group with pressurised hot water flowing on to the coffee grounds and allowing the coffee oils to break through and extract a more intense espresso. In bringing the lever down at various speeds one can control the quality and quantity of coffee to ensure it is made to ones own satisfaction.

Steam jet enables you to obtain a frothy, warm milk, as well as tea or any other hot drink; interchangeable with the “Cappuccino Automatic” device. The “Cappuccino Automatic”, on the opening of a valve, automatically and easily sucks the milk from the bottle directly into the cup.

The simple mechanics of the La Pavoni lever machines together with quality of the materials ensures that lime scale deposits have minimal effect, meaning minimum maintenance is needed.
